All People And Critters Have To Sleep

By Sherry Riter 2 Comments

Ninety-nine percent of the time I am able to fall asleep within one minute. Because I know SO MANY people that struggle to not only fall asleep, but to also stay asleep, I have great compassion for them. Hopefully if you fall into that category, you have read Sleep, REM, Insomnia – 11 Ways To Improve & Get More Sleep and it has helped you to get a better night’s rest.

If that wasn’t enough reading, there are also 21 Reasons Why You Should Take A Nap Everyday To Improve Your Life. As a little girl, I HATED taking naps. Actually, up until a few years ago, I hated taking naps, but I have changed my wicked thinking and I just love, love, love a three hour nap.

Yes, three hours.

I have to admit that after taking a three hour nap, I find it very hard to fully wake up. There are quite a few ways to help yourself wake up after a nap like that if you have a hard time like me.

I love watching people and critters sleep. I watched Alyssa and Brittany sleeping all the time as they were growing up. I could hear their soft little breathing sounds and I loved them more and more with every breath they took.

Often I sneak up to the big tank and I watch Turtle sleep as he basks under the warmth of the light. He looks so peaceful and quiet just like Bella looks when she’s sleeping. I almost have as many pictures of Bella sleeping as I do of her wide awake and up to her usual antics.

When I sleep, I don’t move much. I have often woke up the next morning EXACTLY the way I had fallen asleep. I sleep like a rock…I rarely dream, snore or talk in my sleep. Basically I’m just totally out of it. Sleeping is such a great escape now.

So why did I connect so many links and keep going on and on about your health, having a full night’s sleep, and taking naps?

Obviously I can’t take a picture of myself sleeping, but Alyssa took a picture of me with Bella guarding and protecting me while I took a luxurious nap.

Bella is such a sweet dog. I just wanted to brag about her again.

My husband can take a five minute power nap and be good as new for the rest of the day. I cannot…it makes me groggier to nap. So I have to make sure I go to be early! Thanks for sharing on the Thursday Blog Hop!
