“What we see depends mainly on what we look for.” ~ John Lubbock ~
You look out the window.
What do you see?
You see blue sky, white clouds and a barren tree.
Those are the things you physically see, but what do you see?
Maybe you see a tree that has lost all the leaves and appears quite lonely against the sky that is way too bright.
No?
Maybe you see a tree that will begin shooting new leaf growth and will become solid green in a relatively short amount of time. This beautiful tree is set against a gorgeous, bright blue sky that is dotted by fluffy white clouds.
No?
Well, you have to pick one of them.
Believe it or not, the second description is what I see when I look out the window. Pure beauty and peace.
Everyday you get a new chance to look out the window of life. Are you seeing it full of happiness and potential? We all have the ability to start over each day and see the beauty of life around and in us.
Don’t waste your time, effort and talents on people, places or things that will not bring value, love or laughter to your life.
“After all, the true seeing is within.” ~ George Eliot ~
