Oh look! I want that one over there.
Wait! I found a better one here!
Have you ever noticed how a small child is easily distracted in a candy store? If you tell them they can only have one piece of candy, they go all over the store constantly changing their minds.
Often with high school relationships it is the same scenario. Today they like this girl or guy and tomorrow it is someone else.
Somewhere along the way during maturity, you become “satisfied” with the things you have and the love relationship you’re in…Well, for some people it’s that way. Those are the couples that celebrate their 50th plus wedding anniversaries.
Relationships that stand the test of time are successful because both people not only love one another, but are satisfied with the other person.
However, there are people who will jump from relationship to relationship because they are extremely dissatisfied with themselves. They can’t find satisfaction, peace, happiness or contentment in any relationship and they leave a trail of broken hearts behind them.
When you love someone, it is soft. In that softness, you can find happiness, peace, fulfillment, joy, excitement, fun, passion, trust, satisfaction and contentment.
