“If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.” ~ Mother Teresa ~
I often write about our individuality and uniqueness, but all humans who have walked this planet have several things in common. Those commonalities can be the glue that brings us together as a more compassionate society if we all open up our hearts unselfishly.
As I listened to music today, I thought that this beautiful song expressed my thoughts and feelings on this subject. I’ve embedded the song and added the lyrics below so that you don’t miss the full impact of the meaning of the song.
“Bleed Red” lyrics
sung by Ronnie DunnLet’s say were sorry ‘fore it’s too late
Give forgiveness a chance
Turn the anger into water
Let it slip through our handsWe all bleed red, We all taste rain
All fall down, lose our way
We all say words we regret
We all cry tears, We all bleed redIf we’re fighting, We’re both losing
We’re just wasting our time
Because my scars they are your scars
And your world is mineYou and I
We all bleed red, We all taste rain
All fall down, Lose our way
We all say words we regret
We all cry tears, We all bleed redSometimes we’re strong, Sometimes we’re weak
Sometimes we’re hurt and it cuts deep
We live this life breath to breath
We’re all the same, We all bleed redLet’s say we’re sorry ‘fore it’s too late
We all bleed red, We all taste rain
All fall down, Lose our way
We all say words, We regret
We all cry tears, We all bleed redSometimes we’re strong, Sometimes we’re weak
Sometimes we’re hurt and it cuts deep
We live this life breath to breath
We’re all the same, We all bleed redSongwriter(s): Andrew M. Dorff

Beautiful lyrics. I never understand why we can’t see that we have more in common than we do differences. People are weird.

LOL Yes, Mike, sometimes people miss the whole point of being humans. 😀
