“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” ~ Lao Tzu ~
Have you ever watched geese?
Well, there are a whole bunch of geese that roam around outside the windows during the summer while I’m eating lunch at work. They are rather simple creatures.
The geese eat, sit, walk, poop, drink and chase each other.
That’s it.
Simple.
The geese know how to relax or at least they look like they know how to relax.
Watching them is relaxing to me. They don’t have a care in the world. Nothing seems to stress them out. Day after day they do the same things.
The geese have helped to reiterate the fact that life is what we make it. One day at a time we have options and we will be happier if we relax while living our choices. Of course, it is easier to be happy if we make the right choices.

Ohhh pleeease! How do you know that geese “are rather simple creatures” and all that they do is “eat, sit, walk, poop, drink and chase each other.” You are judging them by human standards and not geese standards.
Now, if you were a goose you would be judging humans by geese standards and saying, “Humans are rather weird creatures. They eat, sit, walk, poop, drink, chase each other until they fall in love, marry, copulate, procreate, procreate some more, get tired of procreating, get tired of copulating with their partner, divorce, look for greener pastures to find someone more exciting to copulate with, and then end up going to a therapist to complain that their life did not turn out exactly how they expected it would.” Now I ask you. Which would you prefer to be, simple or weird? 🙂

We have the same yellow flower growing in our yard. Do you know what it’s called?
Laurel says
What is the name of the yellow flower at the top of your page? We have one in our flower bed that must have been given to us and I just love it. I went to our local nursery today to try to buy another one. I showed them a picture of it on my phone and they were all stumped…didn’t know what it was.
