There’s water towers and then there’s stained-glass water towers.
What?
You’ve never heard of a stained-glass water tower?
For a year in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Dumbo, a stained-glass water tower created by Tom Fruin has cast its kaleidoscopic of colors for all to see. With the simple name of “Watertower,” it is obvious why it could so easily catch one’s attention..
The stained-glass water tower was made by piecing together about one thousand colorful salvaged plexiglass pieces that had been gathered from all over New York City.

Beautiful! I once took a stained glass class, but my projects didn’t turn out looking anything like that! 🙂

I thought of all kinds of things he could make too! It sure would dress up a drab part of the city! 😀
