Who Said That Love Was Fire?

By Patience Worth

Who said that love was fire?
I know that love is ash.
It is the thing which remains
When the fire is spent,
The holy essence of experience.

I know about ash, lol. I have been left with lots of that over my life. The experience I could of done without. It will take the Lord to show me other wise. Broken hearts are the worse pain, and why some of us must endure this no matter what they try is beyond my understanding. So I have spoken, I am old and wise but never figured this out. How is it that there are women who treat their wonderful husband like a dog, even less and the husband worships them? Then there are those of us who treat them like a king and we end up being less than the dog? I will never live long enough to figure this one out. LOL There is a scripture that says “Be wise as an owl and gentle as a dove” I need to talk to Him about this one, lol–Be wise as an owl and as furious as a grizzly bear and rule!!! LOL I guess I better stop it because it is cloudy and I do not like lighting bolts. Have a good day daughter and keep up the good work.

I’m sure you won’t be struck by lightening for speaking the truth! LOL

I wonder the same thing about how one spouse will treat the other like a dog and the “dog” spouse will just take it and keep on being sweet as can be….drives me nuts.

It is hard to be a woman–you must think like a man, act like a lady, look like a young girl and work like a horse, lol a bit of humor to lighten your day.

With age comes new skills , you can laugh, cough , sneeze and pee all at the same time

In the super market as I left she said have a good day. I said don’t tell me what to do! LOl Or you meet a friend shopping for groceries and they say what you doing here, duh, hunting elephants, lol
