Somebody To Love Me
co-written by Kellie Pickler
Sometimes the night seems so long
When you lie in bed all alone
And tomorrow seems so far away
I don’t wanna live another day this way
Scared to let someone in
Can’t bear to get hurt again
But my body needs to feel a touch
Someone come and wake me up
I just want somebody to love me
I just need somebody to hold me
Somebody to love me
Don’t wanna let life pass me by
Never knowing what it’s like
To be as real as real can be
To share my life and know my dreams
I just want somebody to love me
And I just need somebody to hold me
Somebody to love me
‘Cause I’m hurt and I’m scared and I’m lonely
All I want is somebody to want me
‘Cause I’ve got so much to give
I just want somebody to love me
I just need somebody to hold me
Somebody to love me
Just saying.

Time and God heal all things if we let him. Learn learn learn learn from your mistakes and the love will come softly. If it sweeps you off your feet get a broom and sweep it right out of your life. love you

Speaking about “Someone To Love Me,” today would have been my mother’s 99th birthday if she were still alive. My mother died almost twelve years ago. She loved me very much and even though she is gone I still feel her love.
When one feels whole and is completely comfortable within themselves, they do not need others to tell them that they are loved, (although it is always nice to have people tell you that they love you.) But love is not an outside job. It starts from within yourself and radiates out to the world. That said, you have much love from within yourself that you have shared with the world and the readers of your blog and that is why we all love you so much.
I can only think that you PTSD must have had you feeling very down and very much alone yesterday for you to have written this hauntingly beautiful, sad post. I admire your courage for being so vulnerable and putting your innermost feelings out there. Sherry, of all the people I know, no one wears their heart better on their sleeve then you do! Just saying. 🙂
