If you think outside of the box, there are so many options in the construction and design of a home. I am sure that I will not be living on a boat, ship, sail boat or luxury yacht. Although some yachts go beyond the imagination in fun, comfort and luxury, there are three reasons that I am pretty sure I won’t ever live on a boat.
Tamsen Yachts
The first reason that I won’t be cruising around on a fancy yacht is that I think my wallet would scream. The cost of actually buying and maintaining a yacht is a rather hefty sum of cash. Plus, I would also need a mechanic and someone to drive the thing too!
The second reason that I won’t live on a boat is that my seasick prone stomach could never bear living on anything that floats day in and day out. Just the thought of the yacht rocking back and forth makes me feel like barfing. I hope that didn’t give you a visual image. It did? Well, oops!
Just because my housing choice is not a yacht, I still enjoyed looking at all the beautiful Tamsen Yachts. I also learned something that I want to be sure to incorporate into my own new home. I’ll show you the photos and maybe you can figure out what I like so much about Tamsen Yachts.
Let’s start on the deck…
A jacuzzi under the bright sun while floating around…Now that’s the life!
The bridge is definitely an upgrade in comparison to my car. How many gadgets does it really take to drive a yacht?
Blogging from this office would be delightful!
I just love, love, love the lights under the bed! Don’t you love it too?
A clear dance floor.
Yep, that’s what I said. A clear dance floor. That’s just phenomenal.
Of course, I couldn’t forget the kitchen – I mean the galley. Everything looks so orderly and clean. I love it!
Wow! Who wouldn’t be comfortable in this bathroom? I could take a very lovely bubble bath in that tub.
This is the control room. What’s not to love about a place where a special room is set aside to control everything and everyone else. 😉
Engines! Powerful, clean and shiny engines!
Did you figure out what I like so much about Tamsen Yachts?
All the Tamsen Yachts shown above have one important feature in common. Tamsen Yachts are very bright and cheery! I think that bright and cheery often equals being happy. Having a happy life is a great goal.
Did you guess right?
Would you like to sit in the driver’s seat and take the yacht for a spin? Do yachts go for a spin or is it called something else?
I really like the Tamsen Yachts. Think of all the salmon I could catch while sitting on that beautiful deck…
One of the magnificent seven owns a yacht and practically lives on it with his family every weekend and holiday. I remember when he had decided to buy a bigger yacht. Every time anyone said anything about his “bigger boat,” I could hear Brody in the movie Jaws say, “You’re gonna need a bigger boat.” Do you remember how big the shark was in that movie? Big sharks take big bites of people and that’s the third reason why I won’t ever live on a boat.
Did I just see you roll you eyes?

Yup… a very impressive beast, that Tamsen yacht. But I grew up sailing, & I’d much rather sail than putt around on a motor yacht! ;D
Still, very beautiful & luxurious… & I wouldn’t mind going for a short spin 😀
The Redhead Riter says
Skip,
So you rather have wind power than an impressive engine? I think I prefer POWER and the purr of the engine. I bet that engine room is totally awesome.

Wow, baby, that is some yacht. I live on my own yacht (although comparing my 34′ Sea Ray to this boat is stretching the word “yacht” a bit) several months of the year in the Sea of Cortez. Wouldn’t mind doing it on the amazing boat.
BTW, my protagonist in my mystery series, Hetta Coffey, is a woman with a yacht, and she’s not afraid to use it!
The Redhead Riter says
Jinx,
THAT is too cool!!! Do you stay docked in your yacht or do you actually sail around for months? Do you visit lots of places?
Sue says
Love the yacht in all its glory and it would be nice to own one on the side for occasional jaunts. Sea you seaside.
The Redhead Riter says
Yeah Sue!

Yup, – I’d give anything to be on a boat at this moment…not a fishing one. A big thundering beast. Deep Purple plays “Smoke on the water” in the background. Whiskey, lemons and whatever can add to the wilderness.
The Redhead Riter says
You’ve got that visual going with the “thundering beast” don’tcha Andy? I think I actually heard the music playing. Stop steering the yacht for a minute and come over here and enjoy the view of the sunset. (patting the chair next to me) 😉

Pff.. I didn’t want to live in one of those anyways … humf.
I agree with you, those reasons are completely valid! I mean .. what if it went all “Titanic” on you, and you had to end up swimming with sharks? *shudders*
The Redhead Riter says
Yessssss Larissa!!!! No one ever understands the Jaws-Threat. LOL

I spent a few years in my previous life aboard some yachts and they were very impressive also. As much as I loved swimming and fishing, I know I’d never want to live aboard one. I am not one for taking chances and being out in the ocean during a storm. I saw jaws too and nope, I loved swimming with dolphins when I lived in FL, because they kept the sharks away from you. Beautiful photos!
The Redhead Riter says
Thanks Kat!
That’s awesome that you were able to spend time on a yacht cruising around! Fun! Fun! I wouldn’t like being in a storm at all! That just sounds terrifying to me! Jaws would surely get me! LOL
