Very few words are necessary today.

Dad, just because you are gone, doesn’t mean you are forgotten. Happy Birthday.

    Wow, I need to come over and look at all these pictures. I’ve never seen them! Look at Mom, Janie and Dad…he’s so young, looks very foreign to me. I hope he has found some peace.

      Audrey,

      I got the pics out of the thin photo album of Dad’s. I will post all the pics eventually, but come over and look ๐Ÿ™‚

    Glad you posted this.

    Lost my dad when I was 19. One of my comforts is to know that he is here with me, literally, in my DNA.

    Great pics. Thanks.

      Wow Sarah. 19 is so young to lose a parent. You’re right, though, it is a comfort to know that we are LITERALLY a part of them both. {{{hugsss}}}

    I loved looking at all the photographs of your family. What loving and cherished memories these photographs hold for you. Yes, your father is gone, but you are so right, he is not forgotten. I know that he lives on in your heart! :o)

    I like your post. I lost my Dad too and when I go somewhere we were together the memories flood in, like even the grocery store. Pictures and talking about it help a lot. Thanks for sharing

      Sue,

      Looking at pictures, retelling the stories and writing about someone who has passed does help with keeping them warm in your heart. My pleasure to share it with you!

    Hey Red! What wonderful memories! I know you cherish those photos. As you know my mom passed in when I was 14 and my dad died when 1992. The sad thing is, I have VERY FEW pictures of them. up until a couple of years ago, I had one picture of daddy and one picture of my mom. My sister gave me a couple more, so I cherish them with ALL OF MY HEART.

    Love and Prayers,
    PJ
