The Redhead Riter

Witty, Intelligent & Addictive

Thief of Color and Light

By Sherry Riter 9 Comments

“Seeds of faith
are always within us;
sometimes
it takes a crisis
to nourish
and encourage their growth.”
~Susan Taylor ~

Depression

should be a four letter word.

It robs you of

light,

truth,

happiness,

the future,

the present,

the past.

It lies

with a convincing argument

surrounded by a few truths

but filled with false statements.

Depression hurts

your body,

spirit,

mind,

and soul.

But it doesn’t have to win.

Reach out.

There are people who love you,

care,

wish,

and hope

for happiness

just for you.

We believe in you

and know you will win

this battle

and the color will return

because we are your steadfast army

and will help fight the darkness.

You have a bright future

filled with an abundance of happiness.

It will get better…

I promise.

Don’t give up now

even when it’s hard

because eventually you will look back

and know that it was worth the effort.

“There are no failures –
just experiences
and your reactions to them.”
~Tom Krause~

Great Analogy…. we know that the opposite of Light is darkness…and we know who the prince of darkness is…
