I seriously don’t think people say “Thank You!” near enough. I read that in a Lenox etiquette poll it was found that nearly five out of every 10 people don’t say thank you as a habit. That tells me that a huge portion of our society is unappreciative and selfish.
On the flip side, I wonder how many people in the fifty percent that say thank you do it because they “have to” or for a selfish reason. I’d like to say to those people that if you put others first and practice sincere thankfulness in all things, you will find a greater happiness.
I want to thank a special person…a very special person that makes my life feel complete. She actually makes my life worth living.
Today, my sweet child brought me some beautiful sunflowers. She knew that it was a particularly rough day for me and cheerful sunflowers brighten any day!
So Alyssa, from the bottom of my heart I want to say that I love you so very much and thank you for the beautiful flowers. They are so big and bright and fill the room with my own personal sunshine! I enjoy every moment with you. The last 6,215 days of my life have been better because you have been in them.
bloom into
beautiful flowers
bloom happiness
in our souls.

What a lovely way of acknowledging your daughter. Wonderful photos, too. I agree that we don't say sorry or thank you often enough. Two of the simplest, yet most underused words.
