Welcome to “Tell The Truth Thursday” where the question that has been posted in my right side bar gets answered by me and you…and my husband Tom too! The question this week is:
- If you were stranded on a desert island, who would you want to be with you?
Since this is more a fantasy question for me, I will not choose any members of my family.
Being on an island alone with someone…My first thought is for eye candy and I immediately thought of George Clooney…be still my beating heart. He is handsome, has a great physique and his graying temples are so debonair.
But then I thought about the lack of entertainment on an island. I would miss the computer, television and most of all the radio! If, however, I chose Keith Urban to be on the island with me, he could croon sweet music all the time.
That sounded pretty good until I thought of the other lack of conveniences I would be missing. Things like the blender, shower, air conditioner, chairs and the list kept growing until I had decided that I needed someone handy instead like The Professor on Gilligan’s Island! He was literate, intelligent and quite handy at creating items that would make living on the island much more comfortable.
I had just about made my final decision when it hit me. I would be on an island…alone…for a long time…
I needed someone who would protect me from all harm…
Big enough to keep me warm, comfortable and would snuggle with me…
He would want to do things with me and not be self-centered or selfish…
Someone who would be willing to dance with me whether it be ballroom dancing or the two-step…
Being silly would not be beneath him…
Charming and sexy…
But most of all, he would love me completely…
That led me to only one name and my choice to be with me on the desert island…The Beast of the movie “The Beauty and The Beast”
If we ever got off the island, we could live in his mansion happily ever after and I would have my own library…No, being on the island would not make me lose my nerd-factor.
And Tom…What did Tom choose as his island mate?
“What better situation would it be than to be with my wife…alone…on an island…be serious! I find these truths to be self-evident. I married her. I planned on being with her a lot more time than I get…Remember, you are talking to a blogger’s husband. “
Obviously, he is just buttering me up so that when his aching back is healed and he feels 25 again…You get the picture!
Well if we are not talking family I would definitely go with Sawyer from Lost!!!! Not only easy on the eyes but strong and crafty. 🙂

Oh my gosh, I loved your reasoning behind you would be with. But I think your husband has a plan. So give him a big hug he sure is a smoosher.
