Earth: We’re All On It Together

By Sherry Riter 6 Comments

“We are, perhaps, uniquely
among the earth’s creatures,
the worrying animal.
We worry away our lives,
fearing the future,

discontent with the present,
unable to take in
the idea of dying,

unable to sit still.”
~Lewis Thomas~

“What I do
you cannot do;

but what you do,
I cannot do.
The needs are great,
and none of us,
including me,

ever do great things.
But we can
all
do small things,

with great love,
and together
we can do something
wonderful.”

~Mother Teresa~

of goodwill,

We are clearly not made to worry. We are made to trust and to enjoy. God wants us to trust him, and when we do, we surround ourselves with his protection. Worrying steals our health and happiness. Lovely post.
