“It has been said, ‘time heals all wounds.’ I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.” ~ Rose Kennedy ~
I think there is a reason the pain never completely disappears.
It’s there to remind us of the poor choice or experience.
It reminds us that there is good and bad, happy and sad, joy and sorrow, pleasure and pain…
Those moments can guide us to a happier life if we remain teachable and humble.
Or they will alert us to the fact that we’ve traveled the same path before and found unhappiness, pain and sorrow.
How we choose to react and respond to the pain is entirely our choice.

I agree with you. They only heal over and when something comes along they can open right back up if we are not careful. It even hurts worse the more it happens. After a while though it is like a dead nerve, you harden and your heart will not allow itself to be hurt by anyone who has been hurting you. I love you Moose, you are my child and I am so proud of you. Just keep on learning and be carefffffffffffffffffffffffffffful ,lol

Hardens enough so that it doesn’t hurt anymore? Hmmm…sounds great! I want to have a numb heart without any feelings at all. Got any advice?
I love you too, Mom. Thanks.

If our heads were softer like our hearts, we might find solutions.
