Here! Here!

It is time for a toast…

Goodbye Summer! I won’t miss you!

Welcome cooler weather and autumn!

My Top 11 Favorite Things To Do In The Fall

It has been way too hot this summer! I’m just not into hot, hot summer days. I love the cool crisp days of autumn and the brrrr cold of winter. So here are some of the things I like to do best when the air is cool and nature is quiet…

  1. Go to Graves Mountain Apple Festival and bask in the fresh mountain air.
  2. Go on a hayride to pick pumpkins to decorate and carve from the pumpkin patch.
  3. Enjoy a leisurely drive through the fall foliage.
  4. Take long walks until my cheeks and nose turn pink.
  5. Cook homemade apple butter.
  6. Cook homemade apple sauce.
  7. Slowly cook beef stew making the whole house smell delicious. Yum!
  8. Pull out the sweaters and flannel to stay warm and snuggly. They make me very cuddly. 😉
  9. Wear special hoodies!
  10. Drink homemade hot chocolate with lots of Homemade Gourmet Marshmallows With Ghirardelli Chocolate.
  11. Re-imagine life – Recognize accomplishments and set goals for the coming year.

I am so ready for this season and all the positive changes that I know will take place soon.

What are some of the things you do when the weather gets cooler? Have you started thinking about what changes you want to make in your life next year?

    Good Morning Red Riter,

Much of that sounds great! However, must we reasess our accomplishments and set new goals? I thought we just did that? Best Resolution for the New Year = No Resolution. I have my To Do List handy at all times. Reimagining my life over and over is turning into plain old fantasizing..lol.

I would like to add to a few items to your list if I may:
    1. Find a job.
    2. Place colorful Mums both inside and outside of the less than perfect house I live in. (Much more perfect house is on the To Do List. Roman Numeral I – Fantasies)
    3. Drink pumpkin spiced coffee.
    4. Read the fall fashion magazines. Create a folder of my favorite looks/trends (another entry under section headed Fantasies).
    5. Attend book club after summer break
    6. Last but not least attack the To Do List. Fun things: Clean out shed, wash window, clean out cellar, scrub out closets, paint inside trim, front door and touch ups. This will mean a clash of the Titans…lol. Best not to ask or say much more.

Feeling a little overwhelmed now..lol. I will just move along and wish you a Fantastic Friday!

I can’t believe that summer has already come and gone and autumn is on its way! Especially since we are in a heatwave here in sunny Southern California. The temperature has been in the three digits. That picture of the lemonade that you are holding in your hand looks very refreshing! 🙂
