Different personalities and an individual’s history influence how they see and perceive the world around them.
For instance, this is a pretty patch of flowers. Do you usually see the whole patch or…
Are you the type of person that looks at each flower in the flower patch in small sections?
Are you able to keep the big picture in perspective when going through hardships…
And still enjoy the little things?
Sometimes it is necessary to stand back a little and…
Other times we should focus on the details. Different circumstances warrant different approaches.
Taking a drive in the country clears my mind. Maybe it is because that is where my roots are planted or is it that the wide open spaces are innately peace filled?
That is exactly why I spent many hours praying while driving through the beautiful countryside filled with the rolling fields of farms, crops and forests.
No radio.
Alone.
Just me and God.
I marveled at His creations and prayed for His comfort.
It was a lovely afternoon.
Where do you find peace?

I find peace in my writing and usually among a close friend…I don't like being alone so I tend to go stir crazy if I spend a couple hours with myself. But if I must be alone, I window shop to clear my head or get relief.

Hey Gal! Beautiful post and beautiful pictures as well. I wish I was as handy with a camera. I shake too much. Usually, I have to take 5 or 6 pictures of the same thing before I get one that is clear enough to use. Thank heaven for digital cameras!
I like being alone with God too!
God Bless!

Perspective is such an important thing! And I love your pictures and the way you utilized them in your post!
I am glad you got some quiet time for yourself and for you and God, so important, especially when going thru a tough time!
When I was away in Savannah last week, I visited a state park and it was absolutely quiet and I was maybe 1 of 5 people there. It was beautiful and so nice to spend time in prayer and just in the quiet stillness.
Praying for you still…

Just a gorgeous post. The entire trick is to remember what brings you peace and embrace it. We do have similar peace seeking places, however I enjoy music.
You are still my prayers and thoughts. 🙂

what a gorgeous post! I think I even saw the wing of a dragonfly in one of those details pics of the blue flowers. and I love how the bicyclists were in the big picture and then also up close. You are so creative. Thanks for this great perspective. My place of peace is down the shore.

Beautiful images, but the nice thing is that what you wrote:
– We are not able to see beautiful things are simple though!
Simple things, hiding most beautiful rewards.

Nature usually does it for me, especially when combined with some sort of exercise – a hike, rowing across a lake, jogging outdoors…

Distractions sometimes ARE my peace. Something that will divert my thoughts away from what my mind will dwell upon if I'm not distracted… Don't know if that makes sense to anyone else. Distractions can be reading, photography, blogging, etc…
There are times when prayer or peaceful music help tremendously!! Music speaks to my soul and I relate music into my life.

Driving all by yourself – NOT on the interstate – is a great place to have time with God!
Still praying for you and your dad!

My peace is in the morning before anyone else is awake. I read books written by the leaders of my church or scriptures and I eat a bowl of oatmeal. I make sure to take at least 30 minutes to have this 'devotional' time to start out the day right.
