The Redhead Riter

Witty, Intelligent & Addictive

Ms. Gallagher and Yuken Teruya

By Sherry Riter 6 Comments

Ms. Gallagher.

I don’t know if that is how you spell her name because it was a long time ago, but she changed my life. She was my beautiful, young, blond, sophisticated and elegant second grade teacher who always wore stylish dresses. Ms. Gallagher knew how and loved to teach young children. She cultivated the desire to fill life with learning. In her young, orange haired, female student, Ms. Gallagher focused just the right amount attention to motivate her towards excellence.

That was the beginning of my love for school and learning.

Thank you Ms. Gallagher where ever you are for this insatiable desire within me to learn and to find beauty in all forms of art.

Once I told you that I was like a sponge which is the basis of my inspirations and drive toward success in anything I strive to accomplish.

On the flip side, the creative part of me loves art.

Art rocks.

No, really!

Everything from the clay bowl or ash tray that children make in their elementary years to the beautiful paintings of Monet and musical compositions of Beethoven.

Do you remember the cool art of Junior Jacquet? I have found another artist that amazes me with his unique view. His name is Yuken Teruya and he transforms common, every day items into art such as…

A toilet paper roll that…

becomes a hanging forest…
